Science & Technology

All of DoBrain's products are presented as fun stories and games. However, behind the friendly characters is a meticulously crafted treatment program backed by science and decades of research.

Our technology effectively analyzes and provides personalized cognitive development programs that constantly adapt as the child develops. It also enables easier detection of potential cognitive delay or disabilities for timely intervention.

Why cognitive development matters

Cognitive development matters because cognitive function is the basis for all future learning and behavior.

Put in simpler terms, cognitive function can also be described as 'the ability to see', 'the ability to hear' and 'the ability to imagine'. These abilities are how we interact with the world. This is why weak cognitive function can have direct negative implications on children's everyday lives, beyond their studies.

The fundamentals

behind our treatment program

Building a strong brain structure

As we all know, the Brain consists of millions of neurons emitting electric signals.

During the critical phase of early brain development, strong circuits are formed around key functions such as emotion, working skill, behavior control, deduction, language and memory. With repeated stimulation, more efficient interconnections are made between areas that govern these functions. So in the way a weak link makes a weak chain, no single area can improve cognitive function as a whole.

The importance of neuroplasticity

Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change how it's wired through growth and restructure. Early childhood is when the brain's adaptability is highest, making this period crucial to cognitive development. At early age, connections around cognitive and emotional skills are sparked by serve and return interactions. We can take language as an example. If you tell a child the name of something they see, their brain connects it to the corresponding sound, developing the language sector of their brain. In short, the child's interaction with surroundings, especially with caregivers, is key to brain development.

The problem with stress

Another major factor in brain development is stress. When a child's stress management systems are activated, the body and brain stop development to react to excess stress. Studies have shown that under too much stress, new nerve sockets that should be growing start to decrease and even deteriorate.

Our solution uses AI to accurately pinpoint where the weak links are, and design personalized programs that promote balanced, robust cognitive growth.

Our AI also uses this data to identify patterns indicative of potential developmental disabilities.

Serve and return interactions are built into every aspect of our program. Also, the role of caregivers, clinicians and teachers are key to our treatment. We empower them with the best tools and knowledge to learn more about their child and get better involved in the development process.

Medicine is only effective when taken regularly. Our treatment program is designed to be enjoyable and motivating. The beautifully animated story-based games and fully-voiced characters keep children focused, and best of all, they have fun!

The science behind our curriculum

Accurate ZDM diagnosis

Children grow every day. This means their development level changes daily. Our AI algorithm closely analyzes development status and identifies the appropriate Zone of Development Mazimixation(ZDM), on a daily basis. Until now, a child's development status was only available in snapshots from visits to the clinic. With DoBrain, you can track the full course of development throughout their early years.

Customized developmental treatment for unique ZDM structures

Children with developmental disability or delay have extremely narrow or unusual ZDM structures. This makes it very difficult for less experienced therapists to prescribe accurate treatment measures. They may stray too far from the child's development zone, or end up focusing on areas that are already developed. DoBrain's core capability stems from our ZPD Map.

At DoBrain's Core is our Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) Map,

the cumulative outcome of over 30 years of research and numerous clinical trials.

Our specialized curriculum encompasses eight core areas of cognition. The activities that stimulate each of these areas are further broken down to precise levels of difficulty, which children are matched to for optimal development. The treatment is then delivered in the form of animated storytelling and games to maximize engagement. Clinical trials have shown continuous use of DoBrain improves children's cognitive abilities. We also leverage play data to identify children with potential developmental delay. Through our technology, we are able to offer timely, easy-to-use, and highly effective early intervention solutions.
